Product Details: Test range: 6.2 - 7.4. Includes chemicals to adjust pH. Performs 225 tests. Fast. Easy Accurate. This test kit determines the pH of water - the measure of acidity and basicity. The Wardley Senior Deluxe pH Test Kit will determine the pH of your water within the range of 6.2 to 7.4. A pH of 7.0 is neutral. Readings below 7.0 are acidic and those above 7.0 are basic. Maintaining the proper pH ensures good survivability of aquarium fish, encourages breeding and contributes to the growth of aquatic plants. Freshwater aquarium fish are capable of surviving in a wide range of pH. Extreme acid or basic conditions must be avoided. It is recommended that the fish be kept in water within the range of 6.5 to 7.5 Some fish prefer acidic water, while other like African Rift Lake Cichlids prefer a higher pH value (basic). Community aquariums should have a pH near the neutral point or slightly above.
